Scene 1 pp. 1 - 6, beginning to m. 8
The story begins. We meet Noye and hear God begin to give his commands to Noye.
Preset before the scene begins are 2 of the Waves (Peggy and Pinkie) as part of the Pond.
The story starts with the congregation singing a hymn. During the hymn, Noye enters using the Center Aisle. He stops at his tree, as if preparing for another day of work. God's voice shakes him out of his daily routine. As Noye and God speak together at m. 5, Noye starts to take down the masking that hides the ark.
At m. 7, Noye calls out SL to his sons and their wives.
